Glorious Cacao!

If you have been to one of my Gong/Sound Immersions you will likely have sampled a Cacao Treat which I offer around to everyone at the start of the session whilst I am giving my introduction. The cacao tree is native to South America, it is actually a fruit tree and inside the pod you will find the cacao beans tightly packed and surrounded by a white fleshy pulp. Cacao is the purest form of chocolate as it is raw. It is high in antioxidants, iron, magnesium and B-vitamins and has a very bitter taste. When I make your 'treats' I do add a tiny bit of honey or maple syrup to give it a little sweetness along with nuts, dried fruit and edible rose petals! So it not only tastes good but it has health benefits too! Cacao has been used in ceremony by the Mayans for thousands of years and is known for its 'heart opening' properties bringing us back to the feeling of love, oneness and connection. Although you only receive a very small amount of cacao in your individual 'treat' it just feels like a really nice offering before going deep into our healing space together.....and personally 2 of my most favourite things....sound and chocolate....is always going to be a winning combination!
