My Story
My own love of alternative and holistic healing began in my mid 30's when the path I thought I was on for life took a different turn and I found myself as a single mum to 3 young children and realised I didn't really know myself as a person in my own right, having been part of a couple since I was 15 years old.  Along with going 'back to school' and gaining some academic qualifications in Psychology and Sociology, I began my journey into exploring spirituality and holistic medicine.  Over the years alongside being Mum to my wonderful children and working various jobs I also started attending workshops, courses and retreats as well as reading a huge amount of books on crystals, meditation, energy healing, mind/body connection, chakras, spirit guides, drumming to name a few! I was also very interested in working with the physical body, so starting in 2010 I trained in various massage techniques including Swedish Body and Holistic Massage, Indian Head Massage and Hot Stone Massage and over the next few years I built up a thriving Holistic Massage business. I absolutely loved my work but still felt there was something else I was being called to do and the idea of working with the Mind, Body & Spirit connection was forefront in my mind. I started my Reiki Level 1 training in 2013 after receiving Reiki from a good friend and feeling the wonderful healing benefits of this beautiful energy work, working my way up through all levels to become a fully qualified Reiki Master in 2017 sharing the Reiki 'love' with my clients. A health diagnosis a few years later meant that I really needed to re-consider offering massage treatments and that was when my journey with Sound began!  I had attended quite a few Gong Bath/Immersions over the years and was already using some sound instruments in my personal meditation and healing practice and felt really drawn to the sound/frequency/vibration healing effect.  After much research I signed up for a year long Gong Practitioner course in Dorset alongside a Level 1  & 2 Sound Healing course with the Sound Healing Academy and I am now very pleased to say, after 3 years of intense studying and multiple case studies and exams, I am a fully qualified Gong Practitioner and 1 to 1 Sound Healing Practitioner and I absolutely couldn't be happier to be able to share the wonderful healing power of sound with you all!
